Lift Up Lashes shields are designed with a unique curve.

The size of the lash shield determines the resulting lift of the natural lashes. They can be trimmed to length using scissors.

Available in:

  • Small – Glamorous, dramatic curl to the eyelashes.

  • Large – Beautiful natural looking curl.

Lift Up Lashes Lift Procedure:

  1. Complete client consultation sheet.
  2. Position the client comfortably.
  3. Take a before photograph.
  4. Protect the client’s hair with a headband or mop cap and drape a towel or bed roll over the client’s upper body to protect clothing.
  5. Sanitize your hands.
  6. Gently massage the sachets before opening.
  7. Remove any traces of makeup using an oil-free makeup remover and a clean cotton pad, dispose of the cotton pad.
  8. Comb through the lashes using a disposable mascara wand.
  9. Place a Gel Pad-Lock under each eye, securing the client’s bottom lashes under them.
  10. Choose and trim the appropriate shields.
  11. Apply the glue balm to the back of the shield and place it close to the root on the eyelid, hold in place for 20 seconds.
  12. Apply glue balm to the shield in small sections, lift the lashes from the root using the lash tool, and attach them to the shield.
  13. Proceed along the shield until all lashes are bonded.

Step One:

Directions:

  • Apply a small amount of lash lifting cream from the root to 1/3 up the lash using a micro-applicator. Processing time:
  • Very fine lashes: 4-5 minutes
  • Fine or tinted lashes: 5-6 minutes
  • Natural healthy lashes: 6-8 minutes
  • Remove using a clean micro-applicator, dispose of the used applicator.

Step Two:

Directions:

  • Apply a small amount of fixing lotion to the area where the lash lifting cream was applied using a micro-applicator. Processing time:
  • Very fine, fine, and tinted lashes: 5 minutes
  • Natural healthy and coarse healthy lashes: 6 minutes
  • Remove using a clean micro-applicator, dispose of the used applicator.
  • Optional: Prepare chosen color of tint and apply using a tint brush. Remove tint after 3-5 minutes using a clean cotton bud, dispose of the used cotton bud.
  • Dry with a fan

Step Three:

Directions:

  • Apply nourishing oil over the lashes using a micro-applicator, gently releasing the lashes from the shield.
  • Apply nourishing oil to the eyelid under the lash shield using a micro-applicator, gently releasing the shield from the eye.
  • Use a clean cotton bud to remove excess serum from the eyelid, dispose of the used cotton bud.
  • Remove Gel Pad-Locks (gel pads) and comb lashes up using a mascara wand.
  • Take an after photograph.
  • Explain aftercare to the client, provide a printed copy, and give them a mascara wand.

Skin Sensitivity / Patch Test:

  • Conduct a patch test 24-48 hours before the treatment on the inner part of the arm.
  • Positive result (irritation, swelling, or inflammation) indicates treatment should not proceed.
  • Negative result (no skin reaction) allows for treatment to proceed.
  • Record test results on the client’s record card.

Tint Procedure:

  • Clean an area of skin on the client’s right inner arm.
  • Mix a small amount of tint and hydrogen peroxide 3% and apply 2 small dabs to the inner arm.
  • Cover with micropore tape and record placement on the client’s record card.
  • Repeat the process on the client’s left inner arm with the 3 Lift Up Lashes treatment products and glue balm.

Lift Up Lashes Aftercare:

To ensure longevity of the Lift Up Lashes treatment results, follow these guidelines for 24-28 hours post-treatment:

  • Avoid applying makeup or receiving other eye treatments.
  • Refrain from rubbing the eyes.
  • Do not wear contact lenses for 24-48 hours.
  • Avoid swimming or using saunas.
  • Keep lashes dry.
  • Use a lash conditioner daily.


STORAGE:

Lifting, fixing and nourishing solutions:

  • Store at cool room temperature
  • Once open re-seal the sachets using micropore, write date opened on micropore tape, place in airtight container
  • Can be used for up to 7 days on clients or up to 14 days as a patch test

Medical Conditions Affecting Suitability for Treatment:

  1. Cataract – Obtain a letter from the GP stating the client is suitable for treatment and keep it with their records.
  2. Diabetic retinopathy – Obtain a letter from the GP stating the client is suitable for treatment and keep it with their records.
  3. Glaucoma – Obtain a letter from the GP stating the client is suitable for treatment and keep it with their records.
  4. Herpes simplex/eye infections/folliculitis – Not suitable for treatment while infected.
  5. Psoriasis/Eczema – Not suitable for treatment if in the treatment area.
  6. Conjunctivitis – Not suitable for treatment while infected.
  7. Dry eye syndrome/watery eyes – Not suitable for treatment.
  8. Contact lenses – Must be removed before treatment.
  9. Trichotillomania – Not suitable for treatment.
  10. Alopecia – Not suitable for treatment.
  11. Blepharitis – Not suitable for treatment.
  12. Pregnancy or breastfeeding – Not recommended for pregnant women as a safety precaution; a letter from the GP stating the client is suitable for treatment must be obtained and kept with their records.
  13. Recent Lasik Surgery – Must wait 6 weeks after the second procedure.
  14. Recent Permanent Makeup – Must wait 4 weeks after the second procedure.
  15. Cuts, abrasions, inflammation, or swelling in the treatment area or positive reaction to the patch test – Not suitable for treatment.
  16. Hay fever – Not suitable for treatment.
  17. Eye lift – Must wait 4 to 6 months after the operation; obtain a letter from the GP stating the client is suitable for treatment and keep it with their records.
  18. Cancer – Refrain from treatment during chemotherapy and several months after the last treatment; wait until the natural lashes are less fragile. Obtain a letter from the GP stating the client is suitable for treatment and keep it with their records.

Procedure for Relaxing or Reversing a Lash Lift:

  1. Ensure that the lashes are in a suitable condition for the relaxing process.
  2. Repeat the lash lift procedure, excluding the use of shields. Instead, comb the solution downward from the top to the bottom of the lashes, avoiding the tips.
  3. Allow the solution to process for 1-2 minutes, depending on the desired level of reversal.
  4. Remove the solution and wipe off any residue.
  5. Apply the fixing solution and let it process for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove the fixing solution.
  7. Apply nourishing oil to the lashes.
  8. Instruct the clients to use a lash conditioner twice a day starting 24 hours after the treatment.
  9. Assess the clients’ eyes for sensitivity.
  10. If red or sore, wait for 24 hours before further treatment or assessment.
