Important information about “I’ll hold you hunni” lash adhesive

Ensuring optimal conditions for working with glue will result in proper drying time and excellent retention. To monitor the environment in your workspace, we recommend using a hygrometer. Adjusting the temperature in your lash room can be easily achieved by using an air conditioner, fan, or heater/radiator. To modify humidity levels, consider using a humidifier or dehumidifier.

It’s important to note that improper handling of the lash adhesive can lead to poor retention. If your room has high humidity and temperature, the adhesive will dry faster. However, if your working speed doesn’t match the increased drying speed, you may experience weak attachment, causing the extensions to “FLICK/BRUSH off” at the end of the treatment or fall off the natural lashes within 2-3 days after the treatment.

Retention can also be affected by using expired or incorrectly stored lash adhesive. The shelf life of a full-size “I’ll hold you hunni” lash adhesive is 12 months from the production date before opening, while for the sample size, it is 1 month. After opening, it is recommended to replace your glue bottle every 4 weeks for optimal retention. If using a sample bottle, it should be changed every 3-5 days. Remember to store your glue upright in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, preferably in an airtight container.

To keep track of the freshness of your glue, simply attach a piece of tape with the date of opening onto the adhesive bottle. When shaking the glue, remove the lid and cover the nozzle with a folded glue nozzle wipe. Remember to wipe the nozzle after each use to prevent it from getting stuck in the cap.

If you notice that your lash adhesive retention is not satisfactory, there are several steps you can take to address the issue:

  1. Check your working environment: Ensure that the room conditions, including temperature and humidity, are within the optimal range for lash application. Use a hygrometer to monitor the humidity levels and consider using an air conditioner, fan, heater/radiator, humidifier, or dehumidifier to adjust the conditions if necessary.
  2. Assess your adhesive freshness: Expired or improperly stored adhesive can lead to poor retention. Make sure your adhesive is within its shelf life and stored correctly. If it’s past its expiration date or has been stored incorrectly, it’s advisable to replace it with a fresh bottle.
  3. Review your application technique: Proper technique is crucial for achieving good retention. Evaluate your lash application process, including the amount of adhesive used, the placement of the extensions, and the bonding time. Ensure that you’re following the manufacturer’s instructions and best practices for lash application.
  4. Consider the curing/drying time: Each adhesive has a specific drying time, and it’s essential to allow the adhesive to fully cure before exposing the lashes to water, steam, or other moisture. Make sure you’re allowing sufficient time for the adhesive to dry completely before your clients come into contact with water or engage in activities that may compromise the adhesive bond.
  5. Troubleshoot potential issues: If you’ve addressed the above factors and are still experiencing poor retention, consider other possible causes such as oil-based products on the lashes, improper cleansing techniques, or individual client factors like excessive sebum production. Take steps to troubleshoot these issues and adjust your lash application process accordingly.
  6. Seek professional advice: If you’re consistently experiencing poor lash adhesive retention despite your best efforts, it may be beneficial to consult with experienced lash technicians or trainers. They can provide personalized guidance, tips, and insights based on their expertise and experience.

Remember, achieving good lash adhesive retention requires attention to detail, proper technique, and maintaining an optimal working environment. By addressing these factors and seeking assistance when needed, you can improve the longevity and retention of your lash extensions.
